Dakini Yeshe Tsogya
The dakini Yeshe Tsogyal is famous for having been the Tibetan consort of Guru Rinpoche, but we should remember that her primary function as his consort was to gather and codify his teachings. Her role is directly analogous to that which the student of the Buddha, Ananda, performed after the passing of the Buddha - to gather together the Buddha's teachings so that they could handed on to future generations. This was exactly the function of Yeshe Tsogyal - to uphold and codify and collect and gather the teachings of Guru Rinpoche. While the dakini Yeshe Tsogyal did appear in human form as a woman in Tibet, her ultimate essence was that of a dakini of timeless awareness. So there is no contradiction in her manifesting that essence as a human woman or as a trident held in the crook of the left elbow of Guru Rinpoche. "

This image of Yeshe Tsogyal's life was taken from a series of Thankas made by Phuntsok Sangpo of the Tsang-Pa tradition of Thangka painting. It shows Yeshe Tsogyal manifesting rainbows due to the fact that she was given poison. Thru the ability to transmute poisons with her practice into bliss she is manifesting rainbow light. This is one of many times that she was challenged due to the ignorance of those around her who did not realize the depth of her compassion, commitment and skill as a practitioner. It is due to the perseverance of Yeshe Tsogyal that we have the Dharma teachings from Guru Padmasambhava intact and as a result we have the great privilege of being able to practice them. All because of one single woman.

The window also depicts the many traditions that flow thru this Sangha/Spiritual lineage family....On the top is a peaceful Vajrapani seated this is symbolic of H.E. Chenglochen Rinpoche the son of Ven. Dhyani Ywahoo and founder of the Vajra Dakini Nunnery.

On the top left side is Ven. Dhyani Ywahoo / Sangzin Khandro the teacher, mother, and founder of this Spiritual Lineage Family (Sangha). Who thru her ability to perceive one taste carries both the Sacred Cherokee traditions as well as the Tibetan Buddhist traditions in both Kagyu and Nyingma traditions. She is shown in the ceremonial clothing of the Priesthood of the Cherokee holding a Crystal with three jewels.

Below her is Khenmo Nyima Drolma wearing the Bhiksuni robes of full ordination. She is the founding Abbess of the Nunnery and as so is the one who oversees the welfare of all of the other nun's and manages the nunnery and it's teaching programs

On the bottom is Achi the wrathful female protector of the Drikung lineage riding a blue horse.

On the left side is a Ngakpa this represents the layperson's tradition and is symbolic of the original connection to H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche. Ngakpas are tantric practitioners that have a family life as well.

All of these streams flow thru this community, how wonderful!
