I had recently read her wonderful story in a book called "Cave in the Snow". It describes her
experience as a female western woman seeking out her spiritual path in a male dominated
culture and how she spent 13 years in a cave in solitary retreat. No small feat.
Ven. Tenzin Palmo at the occasion of her enthronement
I was honored to meet her, this extraordinary women of dedication and vision. The precious
being I met was a woman so completely committed to the education and support of women and
their spiritual practice that I immiediately felt compelled to offer my work as a heart offering.
She had a great vision to build a nunnery that would give women the opportunity to have
complete religious instruction, education and to one day re-establish the "Togdenma" tradition.

Ven. Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo and the work in progress at DGL
Years went by and one day I received an email from Venerable Jetsunma, the temple was being
built and would I be interested in making two windows for the temple at the nunnery? One of
"Green Tara" and one of "Prajnaparamita". Of course i said yes....
I cannot begin to express the appreciation, gratitude, love, respect and honour I felt, and still
feel to be included in such a valuable endeavor. I will be forever indebted to her for her
perseverance, hard work, vision and for remembering my little offering to this great project
